Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) beat Gyanendra Armed Police Force (APF) 3-2 in a very competitive final league match to lift the title of Dhorpatan ?Blue Sky Cup? Volleyball League Championship 2006 here at Tudhikhel Ground in Kathmandum Nepal. APF win the first set 25-14 to take the lead of 1-0 in the game. Tribhuwan Army Club win the second set, 25-9 to level the game, 1-1. TAC took the lead of 2-0 as they earned their second consecutive set, 25-21 but APF win the forth set 25-20 to level the match 2 - 2. But Tribhuwan Army Club win the fifth set, 15-8 easily to win the match by 3-2. Tribhuwan Army Club win the Dhorpatan ?Blue Sky Cup? Volleyball League Championship 2006 and also claimed the cash prize of Rs. 40,000 while APF was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 20,000 with runners up trophy. Krishna Sherchan of Gulmeli Youth Club was declared ?Best Player? in this tournament. He was awarded with a motorbike. Ishwar Dhamala of Gyanendra APF claimed second place while Deep Khadka of Tribhuwan Army Club was placed in the third place in the best players category. Meanhile the organisers Dhorpatan Sports Club also awarded cash prize to the other teams which eacrned third to eighth place in the league.
