After the peoples movement against the King Gyanendra, National Sports Council (NSC) of Nepal had dissolved the Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA) and All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) along with the other 13 sports associations. The move was taken by NSC beacuse the election of the NeBA and ANFA along with other 13 sports association were held during the active govermence of King Gyanendra and the royal regime of the King Gyanendra had influenced the election of sports association along with that of NeBA and ANFA.

So far, NSC haven't decided to form new committe in the associations that had been dissolved but it had been known by reliable source that new constitution and bylaws of these dissolved association is in under making and new Ad Hoc Committee committe will be formed with in next few days and NSC will hold fresh election with in 3 months.

With this situation in NeBA and ANFA along with other 13 sports associations, there is no official appointment by National Sports Council and there is confusion in these dissolved sport associations that who is going to be appointed as new president, gen. sec. and other executive committee members of Ad hoc Committee.

National Sports Council of Nepal holds right to form and dissolve the national sport associations affiliated to them and funded by them and Nepal goverment.

The move was a good one by National Sports Council of Nepal as the contry itself was in the transitional period and peace is just restored in Nepal.
