Dipak Raj Rai of Nepal defend his Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon on Tuesday, completing the gruelling high-altitude route in 3hrs, 59mins, 24secs. angdima Sherpa of Solukhumbu finished second with the timing of 4:05:39 followed by Milan Rai finished third in 4:07:04. In all, 136 runners, including 53 foreigners, took part in the 42.195-km race. It started at the bottom of the Khumbu Icefall at around 5,400 metres next to Everest base camp and ended in Namche Bazaar, a popular trekking base at 3,446 metres.
