Jeevan Ram Shrestha; Member Secretary of National Sports Council of Nepal bid farewell to the Nepali boxing team leaving for India to take part in the First AK Mishra International Invitational Boxing Championship. The Championship will be held at Chandigarh, India from March 10 to 16.

 

Player Laxman Tamang (51kg), Devendra Raj Singh Thakuri (54), Dinesh Shrestha (57), Ajit Gurung (60), Sushil Ghimire (64), Devendra Maharjan (69), Ujjar Singh Thapa (75) and Deepak Maharjan (81) along with Coach Sabin Bhattacharya, manager Sanjeev Baidhya, referee/judge Om Maskey and Nepal Boxing Association representative Kiran Bahadur Shrestha left for the championship.
