28th International Elephant Polo competition began today on Bardiya District of Nepal. The competition will end on December 5th, 2009. 12 teams from UK, USA, HK, Singapore, Scotland, Tiger Tops Karnali (Nepal) and Bardiya National Parks (Nepal) are participating in the competition.
James Manclark, co-founder of World Elephant Polo Association (WEPA), inaugurated the competition that is organised by WEPA and Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge.
The competition used to be played played in Meghauli of Chitwan district in previous years but shifted to Bardia District, This year.
