Seven Nepali judo players who were participants of South Asian Games 2010 were injured when the rope of the lift of hotel broke down in the Hotel Imperial in Dhaka. Debu Thapa, a judo player, the 10th South Asian Games silver medalist and the eighth SAF Games silver medalist Radha Devi Rai, a martial arts player have been seriously injured in the incident. Other injured were Gyan Bahadur Shrestha and Gopal Bahadur Shrestha and five other Judo players Kaluman Tamang, Parsuram Chaudhary, Deepak Krishna Shrestha and Ramesh Magar along with Dhyan Basnet, the judo official.
