National Sports Council (NSC) suspended four-time South Asian Games gold medallist Deepak Bista from competing in any national and international tournaments for one year after he went to Singapore as the Chief-de-mission to take part in the first Youth Olympic Games.

 

Meanwhile, Nepal Taekwondo Association (NTA) also suspended Bista from the central executive committee. NTA was forced to take the step after the player opted to attend the Chef-de-mission meeting.
