Nigerians
give Martyr's League "red card"
Ibrahim
Babayaro Sameul (Nigeria) and Adams Musa
(Nigeria) refused to play in the Martyrs League.
According to the players (I spoke to them before
leaving Nepal) the playing standard of the Martyrs
League was so poor that they don't want to play in the
league. As they have played in the top flight in
Nigeria, Cameron and India, they say that the Nepalese
league standard is lower than other countries they
play.
It would have been great to see them play in league in
Nepal and their fees were nominal too. US$ 1000.00 for
the League.
But it's bad luck for Nepalese football fans.
10 goals for BBC, British coach to blame
I
would blame the British Coach for the 10 goal that
BBC conceded. As the coach know that BBC wouldn't win
the match even they play 100% defensive match but the
BBC British Coach along with their Nepalese coach
Kahdka Thapa fielded the players in attacking formation.
They played in 4 - 3 - 3 formation leaving the
midfield open. The coach knows that their players
cannot cope with the pace and the skills of TSC
players but why he fielded the players in that
formation? Even after they were 4 - 0 down at
halftime, the strategy seems the same. It would have
been the clever thinking of the British Coach to
implement Kathmandu Club's style if play. Play
defensive with lone striker and hit the opponent on
counter strike. Perhaps there would not have been 10
goals. So far Kathmandu Club's coach have been
successful with the technique which almost upset the
Police and Three Star. Kathmandu Club took lead
against the TSC and hold police untill 70 min. It
would have been different result if KC player,
Birendra Rai's long ranger did not hit the bar twice.
Well Mr. Cairns and Mr. Thapa, something to learn
from.
