Match No 14: Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) Vs Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC)
The match was very competitive
with the skillful play of MMC and the power play of TAC
players. MMC attacked form the first minute of the match
realizing that loss or draw means that they will lost
some valuable point and TAC in return are relying on
their power and stamina for the to break the MMC defense
led by Sagar Thapa. As expected MMC took the lead first
through Basanta Thapa in early first half. And it was
MMC again to score. This time it is Rajan Rayamajhi who
scored on the half hour mark. But TAC didn’t give up
as they get one goal back through their lone striker
Janamat Karki just before half time. After the break it
seems like that MMC wanted to play defensively to
protect their 1 goal lead which decision proved wrong.
TAC came out strong at the second half with some
dangerous attacks. It seems like MMC have 3 points but
TAC have the last word. TAC skipper Janamat Karki
equalized on the injury time of the match to deny MMC 3
points. It was a totally entertaining game.
Score: MMC 2 – 2 TAC
Scorers: Basanta Thapa, Rajan Rayamajhi (MMC), Janamat
Kari (2) TAC
Possession: MMC 50% TAC 50%
Man of the Match: Janamat Karki (TAC)
Match No 15: Mahendra Police Club (MPC) Vs Kathmandu Club (KC)
This years best team in league against the relegation
favorite KC. Many people turned out in Stadium to see
perhaps the humiliation of KC but the match went
unexpected. There is no doubt
that MPC wanted 3 point but KC strategy of
Defending and hitting in counters almost paid off. They
held MOC until 70th minute. It was the heroic
of KC custodian Amir Byanjankar, who saved a dozen of
MPC goals. But it was in 70th minute that
Police scored. Hari Khadka’s pin point cross was put
on the net by Ananta Thapa. And it was Ananta Thapa
again that scored the MPC’s second goal. Hari Khadka
was again the provider. KC certainly give hard time for
MPC and KC won the heart of all the fans in stadium.
Score: MPC 2 – 0 KC
Scorers: Ananta Thapa (2)
Possession: MPC (70%) KC (30%)
Man of the Match: Amir Byanjankar (KC)
Match No 16: New Road Team (NRT ) Vs Mahabir Club (MC)
Mahabir have been performing very well in this years
league. They have been giving hard time for other teams
for their point. And everybody expected that Mahabir
will do something miracle with the game against NRT. But
it all went wrong form them. It was 0 – 0 until half
time. But after the re start, Mahabir keeper cannot
judge the long ranger by Sudip Rai of NRT from 35 yards
and resulted in Goal. And It was one way traffic from
then. The diminutive striker Hari Thakuri uses his pace
to past Mahabir defenders to score NRT’s second goal
and the substitute Susan Bhandari scored the third goal
for NRT. NRT keeper was hardly tested in the match. In
the second half the NRT custodian hardly touch the ball.
But a deserve victory by NRT after losing this previous
match with Boys Union.
Score: NRT 3 – 0 Mahabir
Scorers: Sudip Rai, Hari Thakuri, Susan Bhandari
Possession: NRT (70%) Mahabir (30%)
Man of the Match: Sudip Rai (NRT)
Match No 17: Three Star Club (TSC) Vs Brigade Boys Club (BBC)
Well, what can I say, I guessed
that TSC will win the match by few goals but there were
different story. BBC signed new talented players after
two consecutive losses. But they couldn’t stop the TSC
attack. It was 0 – 0 until 10 minute and the flooding
opened after that. Surendra Tamang opened the score for
TSC followed by Surendra himself, Pradip Dongol. There
was 3 goals in s minutes. And it remained until
halftime. After the re start, Santosh Sahukhala scored 4th
goal followed by Bijay Gurung, Surendra Tamang, Surendra
Tamang again, Bijay Gurung again, Surendra Tamang again
and Bal gopal Sahukhala to make 10 – 0 for TAC. Just
after the break Bijay Gurung limped off the field with
thigh injury and TSC played with 10 men for about 35
minutess as they have used all of their substitute
before halftime. But BBC cannot take the benefit.
I would like to say totally
mistake by BBC British Coach Mr. Cairns. He should have
fielded on defensive side realizing that they cannot
take TSC away. Vital Mistake by BBC Coach Cairns and 10
goal may be costly for relegation favorites. Although it
was strikers who shined in the match my man of the match
was Lok Gurung (TSC), a defender. His moves,
overlapping, cross and power play made happen a 10 goal
thriller.
Score: TSC 10 – 0 BBC
Scorers: Surendra Tamang (5), Bijay Gurung (2) Santosh
Sahukhala (1) Pradip Dongol (1), Bal Gopal Sahukhala (1)
Possession: TSC (80%) BBC (20)
Man of the Match: Lok Bhandhu Gurung (TSC)
Match No 18: Friends Club (FC) Vs Jawlakhel Youth club (JYC)
The match between the even
level clubs started up in slow pace and ended up in slow
pace. Both teams played like they are ready for
0 – 0 draw and take 1 point home. Until the 40
minute, veteran striker Rabin Byanjankar of FC scored
first to give them lead. But it looks like that JYC in
no hurry. Ball was in the middle of the pitch most of
the time and in the late second half Santosh KC of JYC
scored the equalizer. And JYC draw their third game in a
row. Not so entertaining match.
Score: FC 1 – 1 JYC
Scorers: Rabin Byanjankar (FC) Santosh KC (JYC)
Possession: FC (50%) JYC (50%)
Man of the Match: Rabin Byanjankar (FC)
Match No 19: Sankata Club (SC) Vs Boys Union Club (BUC)
Giant killer BUC against SC. The match was very
competitive match with BUC doing most of the attack. But
it was the luckiest striker in league Jibesh Pandey of
SC scored the only goal of the match to give SC a hard
earned 3 point. BUC striking pair of Utsav KC and Sunil
Subedi did everything they can but cannot get past the
SC Custodian. Very good display of attacking football by
BUC. Despite losing BUC’s Utsav KC and Sunil Subedi
are my man of the match.
Score: SC 1 – 0 BUC
Scorer: Jibesh Pandey
Possession: BUC (60%) SC (40%)
Man of the match: Sunil Subedi & Utsav KC (BUC)
Match No 20: Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) Vs Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT)
RCT haven’t score a single goal in the league so far.
So it seem slime they have different idea against MMC.
The match was played in high temper with the outstanding
display of both team’s midfields. MMC’s Rajesh Shahi
and RCT’s Harihar Thapa played very well. But it was
Basanta Thapa’s Goal that separate both teams. Basanta
Thapa scored the only goal of the match after the superb
play in midfield by Kumar Thapa nd Basanta Gauchan.
Rajesh Shahi of MMC and Deepak Limbu of RCT were shown
red card. But the gave was totally entertaining.
Score: MMC 1 – 0 RCT
Scorer: Basanta Thapa
Possession: MMC (50%) RCT (50%)
Man of the Match: Harihar Thapa (RCT)
Red Card: Rajesh Shahi (MMC) Deepak Limbu (RCT)
