Match
No 52: Jawlakhel Youth Club (JYC) Vs Kathmandu Club (KC)
This match was very vital for the KC as they are in the
bottom of the table and they must win this match or at
least draw to keep their survival hope alive in
"A" division. And KC was all out on fire since
the start of the match and only thing is that KC
strikers cannot put the ball on the net. It was 0 - 0 in
halftime. But JYC took the lead in the 65th minute
through Rojit KC. The initial shot from Megh Raj KC was
deflected from the cross bar and the rebound was scored
by Rojit KC. In the 80th minute KC were disallowed the
goal scored by Amrit Bajracharya. The ball clearly cross
the goal line but the linesman stayed calm saying that
NO GOAL. It's a bad luck for KC and what a win for JYC
to keep their hope to reach super six.
Score:
JYC 1 - 0 KC
Scorer: Rojit KC
Possession: JYC (50%) KC (50%)
Man of the Match: Mehg Raj KC (JYC)
Match
No 53: New Road Team (NRT) Vs Sankata Club (SC)
The
match was very much competitive as both teams were
pushing for a place in the super six. NRT had appointed
Maheswor Mulmi as the head coach of the club just a day
before and it paid off for NRT. But it was a SC player
who scored for NRT. Kailash Dongol scored own goal to
give NRT 1 - 0 lead in 60th minute. He deflected the
ball in his own net from the corner by Jivan Sinkeman.
In 75th minute Jiban SInkeman scored from Hari Thakuri
pass. And in 81st minute NRT kill the game off with
super strike from Ritesh Khadka after hard work by the
NRT striker Hari Thakuri. And NRT win 3 - 0.
Score:
NRT 3 - 0 SC
Scorer: Kailash Dongol (OG), Jiban Sinkeman, Ritesh
Khadka
Possession: NRT (60%) SC (40%)
Man of the Match: Hari Thakuri (NRT)
Match
No 54: Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) Vs Friends Club
(FC)
MMC
certainly are showing their class after some bad display
in the opening match of ML. And now it seems like they
are back to their rhythm. They thrashed the high
spending FC 5 - 0. Kumar Thapa scored the opening for
MMC in 15th Minute and it remained 1 - 0 to MMC in the
halftime. After the halftime Basanta Thapa scored 2
goals and followed by Khum Gurung's and Rajan
Rayamajhi's goal each to mark a remarkable 5 - 0 win
over FC. This win moves them top of the table.
Score:
MMC 3 - 0 FC
Scorer: Kumar Thapa, Basanta Thapa(2), Khum Gurung,
Rajan Rayamajhi
Possession: MMC (75%) FC (25%)
Man of the Match: Kumar Thapa (MPC)
Match
No 55: Three Star Club (TSC) Vs Mahendra Police Club
(MPC)
Most
competitive match of ML 2061. More than 15,000 crowds
turned out to watch the top of the table clash and both
teams didn't disappoint the fans. But it was TSC who
showed their class.
TSC were better side than MPC as they have depth
in the squad and TSC attack with all the options. But
they couldn't get past the MPC Custodian Ritesh Thapa.
It was 0 - 0 in halftime. And in 77th minute Surendra
Tamang score for TSC to lead the game. He scored after
the superb individual display in the left side midefield
by Bijay Gurung. and in 86 minute Bishan Gauchan kill
the game with his powerful shot from about 25 yard which
gave TSC 2 - 0 lead with just 3 minutes to go. This game
moves TSC to top of the table and MPC to third place.
Score:
TSC 2 - 0 MPC
Scorer: Surendra Tamang, Bishan Gauchan
Possession: TSC (50%) MPC (50%)
Man of the Match: Bijay Gurung (TSC)
Match
No 56: Mahabir Club (MC) Vs Brigade Boys Club (BBC)
The rivalry between the two promoted sides continues in
"A" division also. But this time MC was
fighting relegation and BBC were out to push for a place
in super six. But this match went aimlessly with both
teams lack of good moves and attacks. It seemed like
both are happy with draw or they are afraid to go to
attack fearing that the defense will have gap. Very much
more were expected from the unpredictable BBC and
skillful MC but both teams make their fans unhappy. Very
good point earned by MC and disappointed for BBC as win
would have keep them head to head for a place in super
six. Not even a single player performed to the expected
MAN OF THE MATCH LEVEL and it was very good to see BBC
captain Ramesh Rana Magar between the posts.
Score:
BBC 0 - 0 MC
Possession: MC (50%) BBC (50%)
Match
No 57: Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) Vs Ranipokhari Corner
Team (RCT)
Again the same with TAC that other clubs find it
difficult to match their physical ability. They are
simply just too physical to handle. Just like RCT
players. RCT players were nowhere near to TAC players to
match the physical ability. RCT hold TAC until 35th
minute. But their resistance finally broken by Janamat
Karki. And it remained 1 - 0 in half time. RCT's Ramesh
Gyawali scored penalty to level the match. RCT were
awarded penalty after Rajan Gauchan of RCT was brought
down in the box by TAC defenders. But is 79th minute
Hari Mahato scored beautiful goal by heading the ball
from Santosh Nepali cross. But Janamat Karki scored in
the injury time to make the scoreline 3 - 1 to TAC. This
is Janamat's 9th goal of this years ML which moves him
second to Basanta Thapa of MMC.
Score:
TAC 3 - 1 RCT
Scorer: Hari Mahato, Janamat Karki (2)
Possession: TAC (60%) RCT (40%)
Man of the match: Hari Mahato (TAC)
Match
No 58: Boys Union Club (BUC) Vs Jawlakhel Youth Club (JYC)
BUC draw the match 1 - 1 with JYC. But BUC were better
side than the high spending JYC. BUC took the lead in
injury time of the first half through Utsav KC. And it
was 1 - 0 to BUC in the half time but JYC equalized
through Iswor Rana in the second half to steal point
from BUC. With this draw JYC's chance of reaching the
super six is now is serious doubt and BUC still in
contention for the relegation battle. But in my opinion
BUC played better than JYC but luck wasn't in their
side.
Score:
BUC 1 - 1 JYC
Scorer: Utsav KC (BUC) Iswor Rana (JYC)
Possession: BUC (60%) JYC (40%)
Man of the match: Utsav KC (BUC)
Match
No 59: Manang Marshyangdi CLub (MMC) Vs New Road Team (NRT)
It
seems like lady luck in the NRT side after they sign
Maheswor Mulmi as Head Coach to lead the experience
coaching staff of Raju Shakya and Diken Suwal. NRT beat
MMC the defending champion 2 - 1 in this game to make 2
in a row. It is Maheswor's 2nd game in charge and 2 win.
What an achievement for him. With this loss MMC drop to
3rd place after MPC and missed a chance to go to the top
of the table. MMC took the lead in first half through
Basanta Thapa. He headed home in the cross from tashi
Chirring. But Yugal Kishor Rai came out as second half
substitute to score 2 goals to get 23 point for NRT. He
scored in 55th and 86th minute. The game was totally
different than in first half after Yugal Kishor Rai came
as second half substitute. He single handedly won 3
point for NRT makes him nepalsport.com's man of the
match. What a performance.
Score:
MMC 1 - 2 NRT
Scorer: Basanta Thapa (MMC) Yugal Kishor Rai(2) (NRT)
Possession: NRT (50%) MMC (50%)
Man of the match: Yugal Kishor Rai (NRT)
