Match No 21: Mahendra
Police Club (MMC) Vs Mahabir Club (MC)
MC’s performance in fast games have been very good and
they certainly are going to give MPC hard time. But the
match went another way. The match was very much alive
throughout 90 Minute. It was MPC that attacked first. Only 2 minutes in the match
Hari Kahdaka was put through by Ananta Thapa, but Hari
shoot wide with only keeper to beat. MC was straight
back in attack after that. Gudia Rai also miss a golden
chance with only Keeper to beat. He also shoot wide.
After quarter of game, Hari scored first goal for MPC
from a low cross from Ramesh BUdhathoki. It was Hari
Khadka’s first goal of the league. It was 0 – 0 in
halftime. After the break it was MPC that strike again.
Ramesh Budhathoki was again the provider with Ananta
Thapa scoring his first goal of the game. He headed home
past the MC custodian after the hard work by Ramesh on
the right side. And MPC again have the final word.
Ramesh Budhathoki scored the goal in 90th
minute after superb cross from Hari Khadka. The game was
full of miss chances. MC really had chance for couple of
goals but they cannot capitalize chances. Very
entertaining match.
Score:
MPC 3 – 0 MC
Scorer:
Hari Khadka, Ramesh Budhathoki, Ananta Thapa
Possession:
MPC (50%) MC (50%)
Man of the Match:
Ramesh Budhathoki (MPC)
Yellow Card:
Narottam Gautam (MPC)
Match No 22: Three
Star Club (TSC) Vs Jawlakhel Youth Club (JYC)
The match didn’t went according to plan by TSC as they
were hoping for another big margin win against the high
spending JYC. However TSC took the lead through their
veteran midfielder Bal Gopal Maharjan in 15 minute. But
JYC equalized in 30 minute after mistake from national
custodian Upendra Man Singh. He was out of position when
Bikash Subba guided the ball in the net from near the
corner spot. It was actually a cross which caught Singh
stunned and out of position. But TSC replied soon just
before halftime. Surendra Tamang’s corner was put in
the net by Pradip Dongol. It was 2 – 1 to TSC in
halftime and the match finished that way. The scoreline
may had been more, if not Surendra Tamang was not
selfish. I could say that surendra Played selfishly and
he had to pass ball to his mates in many occasions and
he is having shot himself even from non-shooting range.
Anyway a very good competitive game and JYC did really
played week. I think the JYC players are too young and
they cannot cope with the physical ability of TSC
players.
Score:
TSC 2 – 1 JYC
Scorer:
Bal Gopal Maharjan, Pradip Dongol (TSC), Bikash Subba
Possession:
TSC (60%) JYC (40%)
Man of the Match:
Bijay Gurung (TSC)
Match No 23:
Kathmandu Club (KC) Vs Friends Club (FC)
The match went very competitive. KC played very good
attacking game. The only problem is that KC player
couldn’t find the net. Young striker of KC Amrit
Bajracharya missed three clear goal chances with only
keeper to beat in the first 15 minutes of the game. But
it was Rishi Rai of FC who scored first. He unleash the
powerful volley from outside the box to stun the KC
Goalkeeper. Then FC were awarded penalty and Rabin
Byanjankar scored from the spot to make 2 – 0. But
Kenneth Williams scored a superb header from corner to
get one back for KC. and Kenneth scored again but was
disallowed by referee. But FC have the last word. It was
Rishi again. As KC went forward for the equalizer left
their defense open and Rishi scored third goal for FC to
make the final score 3 – 1. The gave was very
competitive but the FIFA referee Dillip Rajak’s
decision was poor.
Referee unfair decision towards
the Kathmandu Club continues in the Martyrs Memorial
League 2061. In the match played against Friends Club,
FIFA referee Dillip Rajak once again made some
controversial decision which upset the spectators who
were present at the stadium to witness the match. He
gave penalty to Friends when it was 50 – 50 ball
inside the penalty area and the striker was not heading
for the goal. First mistake by referee. Secondly, every
corner kick Kathmandu Club takes, some defender was
holding the shirt, putting his arm around the Kathmandu
Clubs US striker Kenneth Williams. This happened in more
than 10 occasions.
While finally Kenneth put the ball on the net, he
gives decision against Kenneth.
It seems like FIFA referee Mr.
Dillip Rajak is clearly on the Friends favour. Might be
the influence of Mr. Mahesh Bista, Senior Vice president
of Friends Club and also president of Friends Club.
There were rumors in the crowd that Dillip is not
qualified to be FIFA referee. But how do he?
Don’t know why ANFA always
put FIFA referee Mr. Dillip Rajak in charge on Kathmandu
Clubs’ game’s. Do ANFA want Kathmandu Club to
relegate?
Score:
KC 1 – 3 FC
Scorer:
Kenneth Williams (KC), Rishi Rai (2) (FC), Rabin
Byanjankar (FC)
Possession:
FC (50%) KC (50%)
Man of the Match:
Gyanendra Ale (FC)
Match No 24:
Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) Vs New Road Team (NRT)
The match went very competitive as Army was looking for
the first win in the league. The match was played at the
full pace with both teams playing attacking football in
greater pace. Even TAC players are finding it difficult
to handle the pace of NRT striker Hari Thakuri. Hari
Thakuri clearly missed two chance of scoring and finally
it was Hari Mahato of TAC who scored the lone goal of
the match to earn TAC vital 3 point which will keep them
for a place in super six. TAC striker Janamat Karki was
suspended for this match. Despite losing, NRT striker
Hari Thakuri make every possible move to trouble TAC
only he forgot to put the ball in the net.
Score:
TAC 1 – 0 NRT
Scorer:
Hari Mahato (TAC)
Possession:
TAC (50%) NRT (50%)
Man of the Match:
Hari Thakuri (NRT)
Match No 25: Manang
Marshyangdi Club (MMC) Vs Boys Union Club (BUC)
It was the defending champions play against the
relegation candidate BUC. Everybody expected the
flourishing of goals by MMC to BUC. But BUC have
different ideas. BUC striker Utsav KC’s shot in the 2nd
minute of the match was hardly tipped over the bar by
MMC Keeper. And the following corner, Sunil Subedi
headed the ball towards the net but it was the keeper
again to deny BBC. MMC have to play without their
midfielder Rajesh Shahi due to 3 match suspension and he
was clearly missed. On his absence MMC have played their
stopper Sagar Thapa in midfield and which make the MMC
midfield look shaky. BUC were pushing since the start of
the game to score goal and the BUC defense line leaded
by captain Bijay Maharjan were able to keep Basanta
Thapa quite through out the match. As the match were
heading for the draw and only 5 minutes left lady luck
smiled on MMC. The unlikely scorer Sagar Thapa shot from
out side the D box beat Under 14 Goal keeper of BUC to
earn MMC 3 point.
Score:
MMC 1 – 0 BUC
Scorer:
Sagar Thapa
Possession:
BUC (60%) MMC (40%)
Man of the Match:
Sete Nagarkoti (BUC)
Match No 26: Sankata
Club (SC) Vs Brigade Boys Club (BBC)
BBC was stunned after 10 – 0 defeat by TSC. But they
are out there to prove that they also are champions of
“B” division. And it paid off. Looks like the
British coach have learnt something form the 10 – 0
defeat with Three Star. They took lead through 30 yard
strike from Anil Gurung. Perhaps the goal of the
tournament so far. But Bikash Narayan Shrestha scpred
just after the half time to level the match. He took the
ball in the centre and dribbled past 5 defenders and
release the powerful right footer on the top corner of
the net. Half time score was 1 – 1. SC pushed for the
winner and they got their second goal thorough their
injured striker Jibesh Pandey. Pandey headed the ball in
to net from corner. BBC pushed for the equalizer and
they got it on the injury time. Ramesh Rana Magar scored
the free kick to get vital 1 point from SC. BBC pushed
KC to the last spot on the table. SC were really
struggling with their unfit players like Jibesh Pandey,
Raj Kumar Ghissing and Kailash Dongol. They simply were
walking on the pitch rather than playing.
Score:
SC 2 – 2 BBC
Scorer:
Anil Gurung, Ramesh Rana Magar (BBC) Bikash Narayan
Shrestha, Jibesh Pandey (SC)
Possession:
BBC (50%) SC (50%)
Man of the Match:
Bikash Narayan Shrestha (SC)
Match No 27: Mahendra
Police Club (MPC) Vs Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT)
If MPC win this match they will be on the top of the table
and they played like true champions. RCT certainly give
them top competitive match but RCT players lacked match
fitness and coordination among the players. MPC strikers
Hari Khadka and Ramesh Budhathoki missed half dozen
chance to score in first fifteen minutes of the match.
MPC custodian hardly touch the ball in the whole game.
But it was in 25th minute of the match. RCT
captain Madhu Karki fouled MPC captain Hari khadka on
the edge of the box. Hari himself took right footer to
guide the ball on the net. Hari’s goal was enough for
the MPC to take home points. MPC surely would have more
than half dozen goals if their strikers would have
scored. Anyway good 3 point to pressure Three Star and
MMC.
Score:
MPC 1 – 0 RCT
Scorer:
Hari Khadka (MPC)
Possession:
MPC (75%) RCT (25%)
Man of the Match:
Ananta Thapa (MPC)
