Match No 34:
Kathmandu Club (KC) Vs Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC)
Defending Champions MMC come to this match with the only
intension of getting 3 points to got to the top of the
table. And they started brightly with some dangerous
attack with in the 15 minutes of the game. MMC attacked
more than 1 dozen times and they only cannot beat the KC
custodian Amir Byanjankar. KC Custodian is in the great
form this year, who clearly stopped a dozen MMC goal
chances. It was 0 – 0
at half time. After the break in 48th
minute KC overlapping defender Madhav KC chipped the
ball pass the MMC custodian who was out of position and
got no chance stopping the ball. The soon 10 minutes of
the first goal, KC’s captain Amrit Bajracharya put a
through ball to Rupesh dhaubanjar and he out ran the
MMC’s national defender Sagar Thapa and fool MMC
custodian to put the ball on the net. The second goal
was a result of a classy pass by KC players and which
left the MMC players, officials and the fans in the
stadium stunned. With this win KC have a great chance of
avoiding the relegation.
Score:
KC 2 – 0 MMC
Scorer:
Rupesh Dhaubanjar, Madhav KC
Possession:
KC (40%) MMC (60%)
Man of the Match:
Amir Byanjankar (KC)
Match No 35: Three
Star Club (TSC) Vs Sankata Club (SC)
The match certainly very competitive. But both teams were
unable to score. Three Star were all out to attack with
the mindset that a win will put them 2 point clear of
the table. But on the day MMC loose to KC and the day
after MPC were hold by JYC, TSC cannot capitalize the
chance to go to clear top of the table. The game was
full of miss chances. Surendra Tamang missed 6 clear
goal scoring opportunities and Bijay Gurung of TSC
showed why TSC paid him Rs. 80000.00 for the league. He
entertain the crowd with his skill, neat footwork and
his dribbling, but he also cannot break the deadlock.
But very bad luck for TSC and a good result for SC.
Score:
SC 0 – 0 TSC
Possession:
SC (50%) TSC (50%)
Man of the Match:
Bijay Gurung (TSC)
Match No 36: New Road
Team (NRT) Vs Friends Club (FC)
The undefeated team on the league take on the under performing
NRT. The match was very much competitive through out 90
minutes and it was FC which make the opportunities
count. Rabin Byanjankar scored first goal from the cross
from Birat Thapa. The FC were awarded penalty but FC
skipper Ramesh Byanjankar cannot convert the spot kick.
But it was FC again. Rabin again was on target to head
home the Birat Thapa cross. And Birat himself have the
last word of the game. On 80th minute of the
game the provider for Ramesh for two goals of FC , Birat
Thapa unleash the spectacular volley from out side the
box to beat the NRT custodian. And despite missing the
penalty FC were better team than NRT and they certainly
climb up to the forth on the table. With this loss,
NRT’s chance of getting to super six is almost faded.
Score:
FC 3 – 0 NRT
Scorer:
Rabin Byanjankar (2) Birat Thapa
Possession:
FC (60%) NRT(40%)
Man of the Match:
Rabin Byanjankar(FC)
Match No 37:
Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) Vs Boys Union Club (BUC)
Despite the poor start of the league, TAC were all out
on fire on this match against BUC. Janamat Karki scored
the first goal on the 2nd minute of the game
to give army lead. And it was Janamat again on 12th
minute who scored army’s second goal of the game. And
it remained 2 – 0 to army until the halftime. After
the break army again came out with fire. Janamt
completed his 3rd goal just after the break
and Janamt again scored his forth on the 55th
minute. Shiva Chaudhary was the provider for all of the
4 Janamt goals. With 4 goals in this game Janamt became
the highest scorer in the ML until the 6th
round with 7 goals to his name. But TAC were not
finished yet. Ram Kumar Biswas and Substitute Hari
Mahato scored a goal each to make the score line 6 – 0
to army. Army showed the skills, power and stamina and
overall teamwork in this game. BUC were never in the
match with ARMY. With this win TAC’s
chance of getting to super six is not a realistic
target.
Score:
TAC 6 – 0 BUC
Scorer:
Janamat Karki (4) Ram Kumar Biswas , Hari Mahato
Possession:
TAC (75%) BUC (25%)
Man of the Match:
Janamat Karki (TAC)
Match No 38: Mahabir
Club (MC) Vs Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT)
This match certainly change the equation of who will
relegate to B division this year. Mahabir were all out
attack after KC’s 2 – 0 win over MMC, Mahabir were
under pressure as there were down bottom of the table
and possible candidate of relegation. But they have
different idea’s. Prakash Karki scored a super header
to give Mahabir lead on 12th minute. It was
setback for RCT when skipper Madhu Karki limped off the
field with his thigh injury. And Praksh Karki again was
on right place to score from the Gudia Rai cross on 84th
minute to give 2 goal lead to MC.
This game put pressure on RCT as now they lie on the second
from bottom of ML table. They are without a win in this
season and they are certainly on the relegation battle
this year.
Score:
MC 2 – 0 RCT
Scorer:
Prakash Karki (2)
Possession:
RCT (40%) MC (60%)
Man of the match:
Praksh Karki (MC)
Match No 39: Manang
Marshyangdi Club (MMC) Vs Jawlakhel Youth Club (JYC)
Absolutely thrashing of JYC as MMC came out wounded
after the 2 – 0 shock defeat with Kathmandu Club.
Basanta Thapa notched hatrik in this game. Khum opened
the scoring for MMC and Rajan Rauamajhi scored the
second for MMC. Than Basanta Thapa scored 2 goal to make
the score 4 – 0 to MMC until halftime. Soon after the
restart Basanta got his hatrik and was substituted.
Basanta Gauchan was the last to score the MMC’s 6th
goal and to take away the match from JYC. JYC were never
on the game as they cannot match the skillful play of
MMC players.
Score:
MMC 6 – 0 JYC
Scorer:
Basanta Thapa (3) Rajan Rayamajhi, Basanta Gauchan, Khum
Gurung
Possession:
JYC (40%) MMC (60%)
Man of the match:
Basanta Thapa (MMC)
Match No 40:
Kathmandu Club (KC) Vs Brigade Boys Club (BBC)
Game
of relegation battle. BBC were far more better side than
the KC. But this was the game of limited chances. The
ball was in the middle of the pitch most of the time and
both teams didn’t attack really throughout the game.
BBC missed 2 clear goal chances with only the KC
custodian to beat. But BBC’c pressure finally paid off
in 85th minute when Milan Chandra Rai put the
ball on the net from the corner. That was enough for BBC
to move up to 9th place and possibly out of
the relegation zone.
Score:
BBC 1 – 0 KC
Scorer:
Milan Chandra Rai
Possession:
BBC (50%) KC (50%)
Man of the match:
Rupesh Dhaubanjar (KC)
