Summary: Bangladesh won this uninspiring contest 1 - 0. They
only had a few opportunities, but made the best of them when Alfaz
Ahmed scored in the 30th minute. The Nepali players claimed offsides,
but to no avail. While the Bangladeshis had problems putting more
than three passes together at a time, the Nepali side showed lots of
poise and spirit. They had several chances throughout the game and
were definitely the stronger team in the second half. Unfortunately,
several great chances, one by Ananta Thapa, a scramble near the
Bangladeshi goalmouth, a cross from Basanta Thapa to Nirajan
Rayamajhi and a shot by Neupane all failed to provide the equalizer. |
