After
many years in the wilderness, women's football returned to Nepal with the
formation of the Women's Football Committee in the late 90's. The
revival of women's football has led to many women's and girls tournaments
across the country. A girls football academy, similar to the
ANFA
Academy, has also been founded. The beginning of the new era in women's
football was capped-off by Nepal's participation in the 12th Asian Women's
Championship, in the Philippines.
